Shree Guru Narasimha Temple
 

Sri Guru Narasimha temple is situated between two thirtha lakes called Shanka and Chakra thirtha within Saligrama panchayat limits. It is adjacent to National highway 17, and at a distance of around 20km (northward) from the temple town of Udupi in the current Udupi District of Karnataka State in Indian subcontinent.
The idol of Lord Sri Guru Narasimha is carved out of Saligrama rock and has a history of more than a thousand years. To know more about Dieties at the temple click here.

People of Koota Brahmin Community worship Lord Sri Guru Narasimha as both Guru and Diety. People of this community earlier lived in surrounding 14 villages and have now spread to different parts of the country and also to other parts of the world. With the intention of bringing all these people together and serving both the temple and community an organization called Koota Maha Jagathu was setup half a century back.
